Facial Enhancement Acupuncture (or cosmetic acupuncture as it is widely known) has been a part of Chinese Medicine for thousands of years.

By using needles on the face, neck and head alongside a totally bespoke acupuncture treatment, we are able to achieve a truly holistic treatment. Maudie uses her acupuncture knowledge to incorporate additional mind-body harmony within the individual.

Facial Enhancement Acupuncture can help with many varying complaints from fine lines, scarring, dull skin, sagging, crows feet, lack of volume and more. This protocol improves elasticity, collagen production and encourages the skin to rejuvenate on its own. By inserting extremely small and fine needles into various muscle groups in the face, we are promoting Qi and blood flow to those problem areas.

In addition to needling the face, gentle face massage and acupressure is included in the treatment. This part of the treatment includes organic facial oils, mists and creams to aid repairing and regenerating the skin post needling.

Maudie also uses the medium of Gua Sha (an arrow shaped tool made from Jade stone), a powerful tool used to amplify Qi and blood flow, along with de-stressing and relaxing the muscles on the face. This is deeply therapeutic method that has brilliant results when used in conjunction with needling, and can also be used on its own.

Every person is different and will benefit from varying amounts of treatments, however, a minimum of 6 treatments is expected to show results. A course of 10 (or more) is advised.
