COVID-19 guidelines

  • PPE: I will be wearing disposable masks & I will also use gloves if necessary.

  • Hygiene: After each client I will be sterilising the treatment room with anti-bacterial/anti-viral products

  • Hand-washing: This already features hugely in every acupuncture treatment, but it is fundamental to ensuring adequate cleanliness

  • Clothing/Non-disposable Items: There will be no robes available - only disposable paper roll will be used

  • Acupuncture equipment: All acupuncture needles & medical equipment is & always has been disposable & sterile. We are taught extremely strict & high level health and safety measures to follow when treating & practising acupuncture. This is essential for our work to be administered correctly. This includes: needles, couch roll, cotton balls, alcohol wipes, gua-sha tools, cleaning products etc

  • Suspended treatments: I will not be using cupping or Gua-Sha for the foreseeable in treatments.

  • Appointments: Before each appointment, you & I will have a discussion about your symptoms, issues, history & goals. We will do this through Zoom, email or WhatsApp - whichever you are the most comfortable with. This ensures that when you arrive at your appointment, you will spending the least amount of time in the room - therefore helping minimising exposure.

  • On the day: I will have pre-prepared your treatment & strategy ready for you when you arrive. I will have spaced out appointments to ensure adequate 'breathing' time before the next client.

Upon booking your appointment with me I will be expecting full disclosure on your health status: including whether you have had COVID-19 or not; honesty is the only policy.

You will be expected to sign a consent form for each treatment you attend. This is for both of our assurance of total transparency & safe treatment. If you have any concerns, I implore you to ask me any questions and vocalise your concerns: this is your health & your treatment. I am here for you.

If you are concerned or worried about possibly being exposed to COVID-19 (minimum) 7 days prior to your appointment time, you will need to notify me ASAP to change or cancel your appointment time. This is very important!

This is a totally non-judgemental space & I understand things happen that are out of our control, or cannot be avoided. So always share this with me & we will reach a solution.

More essential information:

  • Masks: You will be expected to wear a mask throughout the appointment. I will either provide you with a medical grade mask, or you can bring your own. I will accept fabric masks. This is non-negotiable; you must wear one.

  • Clothing: Please wear clothing that is easily moved around & loose. This means you will not need to use a robe & I can access areas without too much interference. Please wear clean clothing & wash straight after your appointment.

  • Belongings: Please only bring what is absolutely necessary on the day. You may be asked to leave items outside of the room to limit exposure.
